A deceptively generously proportioned and simple family home, this dwelling was approved with relative ease through the planning process. Providing the client with a subdued design, to match the rural / roadside location was the aim, whilst achieving an internal layout which would be adaptable to modern family life, including some work-from-home spaces. A self build process was undertaken with ADMS acting as certifier, whilst the client, a joiner by trade, has made his own mark on the finishes by providing an exquisite joinery package, which is evident from the photos. Whilst the design of this house is relatively subtle, it remains to serve the client and their family in every way that was intended, as well as adapting to the reasonably exposed site which it occupies.
