Due to fire regulations, a complete re-planning of these retail premises on Spencer Road was required in order to both meet standards and provide a better / more compact layout. Since a large part of the premises were unused, it was proposed that approximately 25% of the ground floor area be demolished and removed, then the current shop and post office be re-planned internally. Although a small project, this was one of our more complicated schemes due to the requirement that neither the shop nor post office should lose trading time throughout the works. This was achieved, and through close co-operation and project management both businesses are now fully operational and within all statutory laws.
