Fincairn House
Located in a beautiful, elevated position along the Fincairn Valley, this dwelling required a little upgrading to bring up to a higher standard what was already a reasonably well-presented property.
Our client, a keen gardener and landscape designer took care of the luscious planting scheme around the dwelling – years on this has provided a beautiful foreground to the house. At the same time, we were instructed to undertake the design of a green oak framed sunroom, which would replace the rather tired PVC sunroom which existed.
Working with a supplier from England, ADMS Architects designed, and co-ordinated with the oak frame supplier to have this approved and built. The addition added a real authenticity to this rural dwelling, and complimented another project within the site, namely the large oak framed barn at the rear. This was a nice departure from other construction methods, and it was a thing of beauty to witness this natural material being manipulated into the resulting designs.
