Holy Trinity Church
An iconic and beautiful little church, set within rural Killaloo, yet immediately adjoining the busy A6 dual carriageway – well known locally for the welcoming light that burns constantly in the chancel window – a small but important extension was vital for this old listed building, so as to provide much needed meeting space, for a variety of uses. The carefully thought through yet simple (simple can actually be the hardest thing to get right!) extension provides for a light filled meeting area with kitchen and toilet facilities. Close liaison with the Historic Environment Division ensured a design was accepted by all that would create a perfect marriage of an old listed building with a small and contemporary extension. The Church committee loved the design and it has proved very valuable to the overall use of the church congregation.
